When it comes to cars, Japan has been doing things right for a long time. The 2018 stock of cars and vehicles seems to be following that trend. In fact, it’s lining up as a banner year for innovative, fun, and damn-good-looking cars.
With 7 months into the year, we’ve had enough time to ponder the best JDM cars of 2018. Check em out…
2018 Mazda RX7
After it’s dramatic rollout at the Tokyo Motor Show last year, many people, including myself, have been dreaming of driving (and owning) the totally redesigned Mazda RX7. Sure it has a rotatory engine (which some people hate), but the reality is completely different from this misconception, as rotatory engines are really easy to maintain and extremely reliable as well. You will have to rebuild the rotatory engine after every 100k km and that a rotatory specialist can do for you at a very reasonable price.
As Mazda is all set to introduce a new model of the RX7 so the price of the original is meant to go up.
Honda Civic SIR (EG6)
When talking about performance cars Honda is either loved to the point of worship or just hated, the reason for this is unknown to most of us. If you are a car freak and you cannot appreciate the VTEC engines by Honda you will just kill it.
The Honda Civic SIR (EG6) has a sleek body design and a nice chassis and is still used in racing circuits till now. As the manufacture year for these cars is just about 25 years from now, therefore, it is the best time to own one as of the import policy of the US.
Subaru Impreza WRX STI (GC8)
This car was launched in 1992, as Subaru Impreza WRX, just after its launch it was given to the Subaru’s motorsport branch known as “STi” and this is how the Subaru Impreza WRX STI came into existence.
It is equipped with a pretty powerful engine and the handling is just outstanding. The best time to own this car is right now as it is gaining a status of the modern classic car and the value is on a rise.
