JDM Towing A JDM

At this point I think it’s safe to assume that everyone knows why they should limit driving their show JDM car around just for kicks.  Rest assured there will be a time and place for driving and racing, but going to the grocery store is NOT one of those times.

There is probably no more critical time to keep your show car off the road than the ride going to the show.  If you’re anything like me, you’ve spent a bunch of money and time prepping and shinning the outside and inside of your car.  Why would you leave it to chance on the road?  There’s just too many things that can go wrong on the highway.

If I were you, I would spend an extra $150 to buy a robust cover for your car, and another $100 to schedule a tow truck to transport your car to the show.   If you are going to do it on a continual basis, get a trailer for yourself, however if it’s off only once in a while, use a reputable towing service with a large enough flatbed to fit your vehicle nice-and-square in the middle of the bed without any fenders or panel hanging off.

We’re about at the point where a in-house trailer makes sense, but we’ve using some local boys called Trustworthy Towing Service to do the work with no complaints in the past.
